EligibilityWaikato District Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced main contractor to deliver the Tuakau Satellite Dog Pound Physical Works at 128 Bollard Road, Tuakau. The facility will service the northern zones of the district by providing temporary accommodation for up to 14-16 dogs and acting as an overflow to the centralised dog pound in Ngāruawāhia and a more localised option for those in the Northern areas of the district. | We are seeking a main contractor who: | -can deliver a fit-for-purpose, durable facility in accordance with the approved detailed design, resource consent and building consent within 6 months of contract start. | -can coordinate effectively with Council-nominated contractors, including PipeScape Ltd for WaterCare-approved wastewater works, and with utility/service providers supporting the wider North Waikato Resource Recovery Centre (NWRRC) enabling works | -can effectively manage their subcontractors to produce quality work. | -offer high-quality, practical and where possible sustainable construction solutions | -can partner with Waikato District Council to provide positive economic outcomes for the community. | Deadline for submissions 23rd April 2026 12:00pm
